I run with 16 strength and take Endure pain as this eliminates the -75 that I suffer from having the extra 3 attribute points.
I generally run 12 in my secondary and use my weapon to cause burning if ele as secondary or poision as ranger secondary.
My PVP skills do most of my damage. I love running Ursan so my skills are mute for 1 minute anyway and my hero's apply Mark of Rodgort so I burn them, knock them down and do 100 damage every few seconds.
My armor requires 13 strength anyway.

Maybe it's just me being silly, but if you got rid of the superior rune, surely then you'd have one extra skill slot to play about with, following your logic.

You've posted about not running any points in Swordsmanship but instead, using a Fiery Hilt to cause Burning on your target with an investment of 12 in Fire Magic and [[Mark of [email protected]] in other posts - it's ridiculous.
Sure, Sentinel's Insignias require 13 Strength, but [Endure [email protected]] is a wasted skill - temporary HP does one thing and one thing only, which is act like an unavoidable spike upon the end of the skill's duration. You don't need 16 Strength because you have a 13 Strength req Insignia, nor because you can negate the HP loss from the Sup Rune with a skill that grants temporary HP.
That justification is fail. It's not logic, it's an excuse to play at a subpar level for the wrong reasons.

Fun with math.
[Endure [email protected]] = temporary health gain of 286
[Endure [email protected]] - 75 = temporary health gain of 239
Oops, you just lost 47 temporary HP putting on that Superior rune.
Let's pretend that condition degen = DPS.
Poison = 8 DPS.
Burning = 14 DPS.
Weapon [email protected] with a customized, 15% mod and 33% IAS, auto-attacking yields far better DPS.
Sword: ~31 DPS
Hammer: ~36 DPS
Axe: ~33 DPS
Go and test these numbers yourself, and/or look at Marty's nice DPS comparison in the sticky.
Warrior's don't have burning so I'll ignore that, but 100 damage and knockdown every few seconds ...
[Earth Shaker][Crude Swing][Whirlwind Attack]
That combo doesn't get disabled for 60 seconds.
